The Aspen Fire Honor Guard is honored to participate in the annual Shining Stars Foundation Dinner, a heartfelt event that supports children facing cancer by providing them with unforgettable experiences on the slopes. Each year, our Honor Guard proudly presents the colors at this special gathering, setting the tone for an evening dedicated to hope, resilience, and community support. Through this tradition, we stand in solidarity with these incredible children and their families, recognizing their strength and the power of bringing joy to those who need it most.

The Aspen Fire Honor Guard is privileged to take part in the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, a transformative event that empowers disabled veterans through adaptive winter sports. Each year, we proudly present the colors at both the opening and closing ceremonies, honoring the service and sacrifice of these remarkable men and women. Our participation reflects our deep gratitude and unwavering support for our nation’s heroes, as they embrace new challenges, build camaraderie, and experience the healing power of the mountains.

Aspen Times 2025 event

The Aspen Fire Department hosts an Annual Day of Remembrance on September 11, honoring the lives lost and the heroes who responded that day. The Aspen Fire Honor Guard proudly presents the colors at the beginning and conclusion of this one-hour ceremony, which begins at 12:00 PM. The event traditionally features a flyover by WWII planes, followed by musical tributes, a prayer, guest speakers, and a closing reflection. This solemn gathering brings the community together in remembrance, unity, and gratitude.
